The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
