The star has donated the full amount of his twenty-five thousand pound award prize money to the MVT, which works to protect the UK's grassroots live music spots.
Fender was given the prize on mid-October as his latest record his work was chosen as the top album of the last 12 months.
The musician has chosen to give the cash to the MVT, in acknowledgment of the essential function grassroots venues played in his beginning days.
"I personally couldn't be pursuing my current career if it hadn't been for all the gigs I performed around the North East, and elsewhere, when I was just getting going," said Sam Fender. "These spaces are iconic, but they are struggling."
Beginning in 2023, over 150 of these locations have shut down – roughly one-sixth of the whole industry in the UK.
Recently, top acts including the band Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the Music Venues Trust in its efforts to help venues survive, by applying a small levy to their ticket prices, which supports smaller concert halls.
Fender also participated, collecting more than £100,000 on his live tour to assist 38 small stages across the UK.
These funds helped spaces that were dealing with imminent closure due to issues stemming from floods, fires and family tragedies, as well as regulatory hurdles, legal disputes and sound issues.
Additional spaces were granted monetary aid in modernizing infrastructure and gear that directly benefitted performers and fans.
"The idea that funds from performances in large arenas helps the independent spots, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just common sense," the star has commented.
He is among several artists to contribute his honor prize money to worthy causes.

Also winners that year they donated their prize to a MS organization after a acquaintance was identified with the condition.
"Receiving the award was ample," remarked vocalist the singer. "The cash was the cherry on top but we didn't need the extra, because we had the honor. So our victory impacted another person's life."
Last week, the trust announced it had protected a couple of grassroots venues in south-east England, by transferring them to public stewardship.
One venue in the city and the second in that location were acquired under the Own Our Venues initiative, which is backed by the arts council and enthusiasts who acquire "ownership units" in the buildings.
